Cassandra Chen

Cassandra Chen started choral singing with the Pioneer Junior College Choir in 2008, which sparked her interest in choral performance. Since 2010, she has had the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant and assistant conductor at various primary and secondary school choirs, helping schools prepare for performances, choral examinations and as well as the Singapore Youth Festival. 

In 2016, Cassandra decided to embark on a new journey as a young budding choral conductor. For which, she is currently teaching at Changkat Primary School Choir, Fuhua Primary School Choir, Juying Primary School Choir, Chung Cheng High School (Main) Choir and Chung Cheng High School (Yishun) Choir. In 2020, Cassandra attained an Associate Diploma level from Trinity College London (ATCL). 

Apart from educating, Cassandra is also very passionate about performing and honing her craft, She has participated in multiple concerts, recitals, operettas and short plays, such as Hans Zimmer Live Tour (Singapore Grand Prix 2019), all of which helped expand her experience in various performance styles. She is also the Vice President of a local community choir, The Vocal Consort. 

As a performer and music educator, Cassandra firmly believes that singing can help develop confidence in oneself. She hopes that through her guidance, her students and choir members can be provided with a head start to continue exploring on all that music has to offer.
