Kwek-Puah Hwee Khee

Mrs Kwek-Puah Hwee Khee, Conductor, voice and piano teacher, studied voice under the renowned soprano Stella Zhou Ming Lun. She was awarded a distinction for Voice from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) and a Grade 8 Piano and Theory. She is also a diploma holder of Choral Conducting (LCM). Fully committed to molding and training young artists under her charge, she has nurtured many school choirs over the last 14 years.
Over the past decade, her choirs had been awarded numerous Gold awards in the Singapore Youth Festivals. They were also invited for the SYF presentations. In the most recent Orientale Concentus VIII (2015), Gan Eng Seng Primary School choir was awarded Gold, Category winner and Grand Prix finalist. Special jury prizes were received for Conductor's prize and Outstanding Performance of Singapore Work. In Singapore International Choral Festival (2015), River Valley Primary choir bagged a Gold award and was also the only Singapore choir in the Grand Prix.
Actively participating in overseas competitions, her choirs have received Gold awards at Hong Kong International Choral Festival in 2013, Bratislava and Olomouc in June 2011 and Taiwan in July 2011. River Valley Primary school obtained the highest Gold award of 98 Points at Bratislava competition. Her choirs have travelled to Prague, China, Hong Kong and Malaysia, participating in competitions, performances and choir exchanges.
One of her choirs, Nanyang Primary School choir did extremely well in choral assessment and was asked to perform at the high scorer concert for outstanding performance by the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) in 2009.
