Laverne Ong is classically trained in both voice and piano. She has been teaching piano since 2003 and vocals since 2013.

Laverne first started out joining songwriting competitions from the age of 16, clinching 1st place twice, 2nd place twice, and 3rd place twice.

She is also a COMPASS member and sold songs abroad. She has also performed for events like Esplanade, wedding gigs and fundraising galas. Occasionally, she conducts music workshops for corporate companies and organisations.

She has been enjoying teaching school choirs for close to 10 years, and hopes to share her love and passion for music with many of her young students.
