Samantha Wee obtained her Masters in Kodály Music Pedagogy at the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music (Kecskemét, Hungary), where she specialised in vocal pedagogy and choral conducting. During her studies in Hungary, she had the privilege of studying musicianship with Katalin Körtvési; choral conducting with Dr. Anna Fűri, Dr. Bence Juhász, and Éva Rozgonyi; choral pedagogy with Dr. Árpád Tóth; and vocal pedagogy with Dr. Renáta Darázs and Dr. János Klézli.
Her passion for choral music bloomed from her experiences as a school chorister, and continued as an adult chorister with many notable choral and vocal ensembles. She has had the invaluable experience of performing and competing on the international stage, such as at the World Choir Games in 2014 with the National University of Singapore Choir, who achieved Gold awards in 3 categories. In 2022, Samantha decided to pursue choral conducting as a career, and began with her involvement in the Choral Collective Residency Programme (CCRP) as a chorister.
Samantha currently sings in Vox Camerata’s chamber choir, and also serves as an assistant conductor in Vox Camerata’s Community Choir, as well as in the semi-professional choral ensemble, The Graduate Singers.
